We are so excited to officially launch our 2020-2021 PTA year! We hope you enjoy our updated website and find it to be a valuable resource this year. In keeping with the theme of excellent communication during this unique school year, we aim to keep this site up-to-date with the most current information as our plans take form (and inevitably change, and possibly change again).
Below is a list of to-do’s for you to get connected with PTA this year. Please read our forms carefully as you fill them out – they look a lot like they have in prior years, but we have tweaked them here and there. Please have these forms completed by Monday, September 14. The forms will still be available with some modifications after 9/14, but the cutoff to have your information included in our ELE PTA Student Directory is September 14.
Step 1: Join the PTA, of course! We would love to count you as a member of the ELE PTA this year! You can find out all about who we are and what we do at ELE on our PTA pages. You can join the PTA by purchasing a membership on our PTA Membership Form. Even if you choose not to join, please fill out the form to have your contact information included in our ELE PTA Student Directory and also consider contributing to your child’s class party fund. (One change to note from previous years is that our ELE PTA Student Directory is going digital this year! Instead of printing out a paper directory, we will include a link to the directory in our QuickLinks. This link will be password-protected, and access is included for free with your PTA membership. If you don’t join the PTA but would still like access to the directory, you may purchase access for $3.)
Step 2: While volunteering is absolutely not a requirement for PTA members, we couldn’t run a successful PTA without our valued volunteers. Find out about what volunteer opportunities are available and let us know what interests you by filling out the Volunteer Interest Form. We’ll send your contact info to the appropriate Committee Coordinators, who will get in touch with you as needed during the year.
Step 3: Purchase some awesome new spirit wear! We’re doing spirit wear sales a little differently this year. We’ll have a handful of sales during the year, offering different designs/products along the way. Our first sale is available right now and ends September 7. This sale features fun new designs – even pajama pants! Naturally, we have some ELE masks this year as well. We’ve also designed a mask for our partner school, Thomasboro Academy. If you’d like to purchase one of those to donate, it will be delivered directly to Thomasboro. Everything else will ship directly to your address after the sale closes!
Step 4: One of the best ways to stay informed about all things PTA is to read our weekly newsletter, the Mini News. Subscribe here to have the Mini News delivered right to your email inbox every Friday morning!
Step 5: Follow us on social media! As you may have noticed from recent activity on our Facebook page, we’re beefing up our social media presence this year. Expect more frequent posts to keep you informed of what’s happening with school and with PTA, as well as some fun and encouraging posts to lift your spirits! Also, we’re dusting off our Twitter account and just opened an account on Instagram, so you can keep up with us on whichever is your preferred social media feed! Here are links to our accounts:
Step 6: Take a look at our revamped website! Bookmark it and peek in every now and then. If you see something we need to fix, send us an email to let us know! If you have a question about anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us on the Board (find our contact info here). We’re here for you, and we’re all in this together!
