ELE Recycling is Back and We Need Your Help

Volunteers needed! ELE is bringing back the Classroom Recycling Program and the Hawk Dads Committee invites you to join in this initiative and serve our school!

This effort will not only help give a little relief to our hard-working school custodians, but also provide an opportunity for ELE students to serve their school, environment, and community.  Students in 2nd-5th grades will be bringing down the classroom recycling bins every Wednesday and Friday to be emptied into the recycling dumpster.

The job: We need a few parents to help monitor: 1) the participating students at the exit doors behind the cafeteria, and 2) at the dumpster, and help dump the recycling bins since students aren’t usually tall or strong enough.

We need two volunteers from 7:30-8:00 a.m. (could be flexible if someone needs to leave by 7:50) on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Ideally, each volunteer would commit to 1 day (Wed or Fri) for one month only.  That being said, we would appreciate any time that you’re able to give. Please feel free to sign up in advance – all dates through the end of the year are available to sign up now.

Thank you for serving at ELE!

Yjasming Kistner, Hawk Dads Coordinator
