PTA President’s Points

Happy Friday Hawks!

I hope you all enjoyed the Labor Day Holiday! Is it just me, or does a four day week often feel just as long and busy as a regular week?!? Guess we will give it a go again next week! Thursday, September 16th is a Teacher Workday, so no school for students!

Families, you are showing your ELE spirit! Thank you to all who have joined PTA and have paid classroom fund fees! We have over 100 members within the first 10 days of our Membership Drive! That is wonderful! Keep those memberships going to be entered into drawings for ELE sticker decals!

You’ve joined PTA. Now what?!? Get involved!! Got to our homepage, elepta.org, and find a committee or two on our Volunteer Form that fits you! We have roles available to fit any parent’s availability!

Spirt Wear is coming!!! Time to show your 2021-2022 ELE pride with some new designs! All orders will be placed online, and to save on shipping, we will have all orders shipped in bulk to school, sorted, and then delivered to your child!

It’s almost that time of year again! What time is that?!? The All For One Fund!!! Families, I cannot tell you how excited I am about this year’s fund! We are back together and in-person and we have much to get done! Please consider contributing toward our annual AFO fund as these contributions provide so much for our school and community! Most recently, your contributions from previous years allowed for a large portion of our playground field to be artificially turfed. Neighbors and students are already taking advantage of this new space for meeting up with friends, passing a ball, exercise, class games and more! And don’t forget about the awesome new playground equipment at the end of the field near the school building! It was short on love last year, but being put to full use this year! Think we only provide campus enhancements? Campus Enhancements are just one a few categories of spending for AFO. Much support was given last year to teachers and staff for technology and online subscriptions for educational tools used daily by teachers and our children for learning. Giving to the AFO fund allows the PTA to help supplement our children’s education! We’re all in this together –  we are All for One!

Have a nice weekend!

Lauren Stroupe, ELE PTA President 2021-2022

Room Parents Needed

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Room Parent for each classroom. Room Parents will serve as a liaison between teachers, PTA and parents. It’s important that volunteers for this position are effective communicators, active on email, organized, and responsive. We ask that Room Parent volunteers commit to the position for the full school year.

Classrooms generally only have one Room Parent. **If more than one person signs up, we will draw names to select the Room Parent unless the volunteer specifically requests to share the role.**

Please use the link below to sign up and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
