President: Lauren Stroupe
Hey ELE Family! My name is Lauren Stroupe and I am honored to serve as your PTA President this year. This will be my third year on the Board, I have served as Secretary and VP of Fundraising prior to this year.
My family moved to Matthews from Raleigh in July of 2015, as my son, Boone, entered 2nd grade. The next year my daughter, Mary Elizabeth, joined the ELE family as a Kindergartener. Our family has loved our time at ELE and found that Boone was well prepared for middle school at SCMS last year!
Before having children, I graduated from Meredith College with a BS in Child Development and a K-6 Teaching License. I taught elementary school, Grades K and 5th, in Wake and Franklin counties. My husband, Charles, and I made the decision for me to stay home once having children, but my love for teaching continued and my volunteer hours picked up dramatically! At ELE I have enjoyed volunteering in the media center, as Book Fair coordinator, as a chaperone for field trips and assisting teachers with various class projects. When not volunteering at ELE I enjoy teaching classes in the Children’s Ministry at our church, going to the beach, hiking and camping, playing with our yellow Lab, Raleigh, and watching college sports (Go Wolfpack)!
Although no longer in my own classroom, I still love being a part of education and I appreciate the opportunities the ELE PTA provides for parents to be actively involved in their children’s education and give back to the teachers and staff who work so hard for our children.
I hope you will join in partnership with the PTA this year as we work to support our children, staff and teachers!
Treasurer: Becky Ard
This is Becky’s third year to serve on the ELE PTA Board of Directors. Prior to serving on the Board, she was a Room Parent and then Copy Committee Chair. Becky has a 5th grade daughter, Caroline, at ELE and a 7th grade son, Grayson, at South Charlotte. Her family moved to Charlotte in 2015 from Birmingham, Alabama for her husband, Denny’s job. She is a stay at home mama now but prior to the move, she worked as a CPA. Serving as the Treasurer has been the perfect fit. Becky enjoys spending time with family and friends, their mini goldendoodle Poppy, and Auburn football.
Secretary: Libby Fuller
Hi Hawks! Some of my favorite things to do are cooking, working out at the gym and spending time with my family and friends. My husband is Todd and we have three children at ELE, Emma-5th, Grant-2nd and Elise-K. Although we have chosen to Homeschool this year we remain connected to the ELE family. I’m thrilled to serve as your PTA Secretary for the 2020-2021 School Year!
VP Fundraising: Danielle Banks
Danielle moved to Charlotte in 2017 from St. Louis and immediately joined the ELE PTA. She has twins in 3rd grade at ELE and a 6th grader at Crestdale. Danielle has volunteered on various committees such as Greeter Desk, Hospitality, Media, School Tours and Thomasboro. She was elected in 2019 to serve a 3-yr term as a Parent Representative on the SLT. Danielle is looking forward to expanding her role on the PTA as VP of Fundraising, leading the All For One campaign. She passionately believes that when everyone works together, all of our children can achieve success. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling in the Caribbean, and watching movies. Before taking a hiatus from the corporate world, Danielle worked in Sales and Marketing. She graduated with a BJ from the University of Missouri – Columbia (MIZZOU) and an MBA from Lindenwood University.
VP Programs/Events: Ashley Conner
This is Ashley’s second year serving on the PTA Board as VP of Programs & Events. Ashley is a native Charlottean and grew up in the Cotswold neighborhood. She has two children who attend Elizabeth Lane – Eli who is in the 4th grade and Libby who is in the 1st grade. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys exercising, traveling to the beach and spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. Ashley’s mother is a retired CMS teacher, so she knows first-hand how hard our teachers work. She is grateful for the PTA’s dedication to serving the teachers and students of Elizabeth Lane.

Chanda Green joined the ELE PTA in 2013 as a general member when her son entered kindergarten. Over the years she has volunteered in various areas: Book Fair, Spirit Wear, Room Parent, Hawks with Heart, Hospitality, and Secretary. Professionally, Laurie works part time as an Accounting Manager for a small family business in the Charlotte area.
Finance Committee Chair: Amanda Molbert
Amanda has 4th and 2nd grade boys in the ELE family. Pre-COVID, you could usually find her at the greeter desk or in the media center. Amanda is a CPA-turned-stay-at-home-mom who enjoys running, reading, and cake decorating.

Sarah and her husband Cedric moved to Charlotte from Lexington, KY in 2017 and have two sons, Devin who is 3rd grade, and Miles who is in 1st grade. She majored in Political Science at Clemson (Go Tigers!) and worked in banking and corporate travel before becoming a stay at home mom.
